Blurb from Amazon: Dragon Shifter Novel
Dragon shifters are a dying breed. There are so few females left that, if drastic measures are not taken, and soon, it’ll be over for the species. The threat of extinction looms.

King Blaze finally accepts that there is no other option but to evoke an age old tradition.
The Hunt.

The eligible dragon shifter males must hunt a handful of females. It’s first catch, first serve. The biggest problem is that the females are human. Despite feedback to the contrary, Coal thinks they are weak and breakable. In his opinion, not capable of surviving the hunt, let alone the mating that will follow. He doesn’t believe that a lowly human is capable of birthing him a royal heir, so why has his brother, the king, tasked him with claiming one?

He can’t believe this is happening to him. Especially when most of the males in their tribe are willing to accept one of these puny females. Not him. He’s never rutted with one and doesn’t have any desire, whatsoever, to rut with one in the future, let alone mate and impregnate one. Claiming one of these females will not be an easy feat considering there are three other dragon tribes vying for the opportunity.

How the hell is he supposed to do all of this when he doesn’t want to come within a mile of one of these unsavory creatures?

This book can be read as a standalone but would be best enjoyed as a part of the series (Start with Chosen by the Vampire Kings). No cliffhanger!

The story contains strong sexual themes/language and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Review

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I will admit, I now want to go back and read more! I fell in love with Coal and Julie. This couple just screamed to be together! The book was well crafted, witty, charming and utterly hilarious in parts. I loved every second of this book.

I wanted to hate Coal, I really did. I mean to start with he had wanted to marry another woman and hated his brother for forcing him to engage in the bride hunt but in the end I think he wound up thanking him.

Okay, some downsides.

I think that these are only because this is the first time I've read this author so please do not let this dissuade you from reading this book because it was a great book!

1. I didn't know what the Dragon King was referring to when he was talking about some program (going to go back and get more of her books so I can learn however!)

2. I really *hated* that the men had no idea that letting the female dragons take care of the fragile human women was a good idea - idiots. Shakes head (of course they are going to be jealous! Morons! LOL!)

3. I didn't really like that in this book it was not only Coal and Julie but also Blaze (another male dragon) and his human he caught and another male dragon and his human (can't think of their names off the top of my head). To me this cheated me out of 2 more books. I wanted to read more about these dragons and now that they have their HEA, well it kinda ruined it for me.

4. I wanted to hate the Earth Dragon, but I felt bad for him, like really bad for him. I know he will get his HEA and I look forward to reading how he does.

5. I want to know more about the Sky Dragons.

6. It was too short. I wanted more.

7. I'm ready for the next book! (not a bad thing!)
